Very nice set of 4 dining chairs made from ash wood in the early 1940’s. Each with a tall flat back upon a square seat, covered with a burgundy red velvet, trimmed by large brass nails on the 4 sides of the seat and the 2 sides of the back. The pediment (legs and cross bar) is typical of Louis XIII style, with a front pair of baluster legs, joined together by a stretcher and to the back legs by 2 other stretchers. A central one consolidates the structure. In excellent condition for the wood frame. Little scratches on some feet. The upholstery does not need to be replaced.
