Large
French Napoleon Period Psyche.
It is in "flamed"
mahogany veneer on mahogany wood. The mirror is pivoting front to back
and staying still in any position one decides ,held by 2 columns resting
on a base having an arc of circle shape and being linked by a cylindrical
crossbar. The 4 feet are terminated by their original casters.
This Psyche is ornate by
gilded carved bronze rings on top &bottom of the columns and by
2 wonderful gilded bronze candlesticks and their support attached to the
columns as well.
The back of the mirror is
covered by its original fabric
Psyche was invented by the
very end of 19th Century. and this one is from Napoleon 1st Period, Circa
1810
