Pair of Louis XVI style bronze dore Candlesticks

This pair was made during Napoleon III period. Each represent a draped "a l'Antique" Cherubin, carrying on his head a candlestick (with its "bobeche") in the shape of an urn, he is holding with both arms. He is resting above a gilded bronze base chased with a neoclassical ornementation, including pearls, doves and laurel garland.
Great proportions and has been re Gilt.

Pair of Superb Bronze Dore Candlesticks

Each is representing 3 bronze dore Cherubs draped "a l'Antique" with one holding a sickle, another a spray of flowers and the third one an Amphora on his right shoulder.
All 3 are standing on a bronze dore support itself resting on an off white marble base surrounded on its top by a ring of dore pearls.

			Pair of Silver Plated Bronze Candlesticks A very elegant pair of silver plated bronze candlesticks typical of mid 18^th century style, made second half of 19^th. The octagonal shape motive reproduces itself on the base, the vertical stem and the socket. On the top of the detachable nozzle, there ledges feature as drip pans, designed to catch the dripping wax. The nozzles fit into the sockets and hold the candles as well. The columns unscrew from the base. It stands 9 ¾” high and the base is 5 3/8” diameter. In perfect condition, except for a small horizontal crack on each of the dripping pans, these lovely candlesticks would look great in any room, many furniture and on set dining table.
